The countdown continues to The National School on Market Regulation, brought to us by the IRES Foundation from April 10-12. The much anticipated Commissioners’ Panel will be staffed by Arizona Commissioner Christine Urias, NAIC President and Iowa Commissioner Susan Voss, and Missouri Insurance Director and Financial Oversight Council representative John Huff.  With more states having joined the Interstate Compact, it’s important to note that you will be able to hear from not only the Compact’s Chair, New Hampshire Commissioner Roger Sevigny,  but also the Compact’s Executive Director, Karen Schutter. There are so many new developments in MCAS, from the “Data Element Changes” as adopted by the Market Information Systems (D) Task Force in September to the “coming soon” on-line web application available to insurers for their submittals via a special icon on the NAIC’s website, that all will benefit from the NAIC staff sessions.  And, speaking of “market conduct,” attendees will also have a great opportunity to learn more about the role Six Sigma can play in managing market conduct examinations. Compliance knowledge is definitely reached at the end of this road!
